London's Calling

Well friends, got the call... (actually email).

I'm to be in London NO LATER than the 3rd of March. Yes, I've got my moving date and my start date at my new job; which is the 9th of March.

Beyond excited to have this set and to know that I am finally going to be done substitute teaching and doing data entry! Not that these haven't been good in between jobs; however, if I had to do them forever I might just pull my hair out one strand at a time from shear boredom... Not sure about you, but I don't think that I would look good bald.

bum-de-bum-bum

I'm officially back in SoFla, and I have been sleeping like it's going out of style.
It's a combo of coming back on a red-eye flight, this very strange congestion in my head, and the time difference between Cali and Florida. Feel like a bum-de-bum-bum...

In other news though! Got a call this morning from my recruiter concerning my short-term accommodation in London. She went to check it out yesterday, and told me "I didn't even know there were houses that big in Croydon!" It sounds like such a sweet deal and that the family I will be staying with is pretty chill. I don't have to sign anything up front, and I'll just pay on a weekly basis.

Things are coming together on the London front. Should find out next week sometime when I need to officially get my butt over there.

new years/road trip

Hey 2009!!!
So crazy...can you believe that it's already 2009? I remember back in elementary school thinking that 2000 was so stinkin' far away. I also thought that we would be a lot more space-agey than we are now. Think the Jetson's. Obviously I had unrealistic expectations.

Anyways....traveling around the west coast of the US of A at the moment. Doing the LA thing right now, and hanging out with my dear friend Aly. Off to Sac tomorrow night and then on to San Fran on Friday. Beyond excited! I suggest that everybody do a road trip to the west coast of the States and explore. So legit guys :)

It's late though...I'm sleepy...I won't make any sense if I attempt to continue.

hello world

Sooooo... hey friends!
My friend Amy suggested that I should start up a blog since I am moving to London in the next couple of months, and thought it would be an easier way of keeping multiple people up-to-date on my life over there. I agree!

Not that I'm sure how many people will actually want to read it...but that's besides the point.

Okay, a few things you should know to start out with:

  • I cannot promise how interesting this will be.

  • I do not know how often I will end up posting - whether it will be entirely TOO much or TOO little.

  • I will try not to bore you (or myself).

  • If you have any questions (ever) about what is going on, and you don't feel like I address it ever. Please ask said questions. I may or may not answer them though ;)

  • I will try to include at least one picture per post - I like visuals. It may not have anything to do with the post!

With that I leave you with my first picture taken on my new laptop; which has photoshop already installed on it and a webcam!!! Meaning I can video chat with friends before/after the move :)
